Client Workflow Integration

Practice presenting AI-generated concepts to clients, calculate project pricing with AI-assisted workflows, and build transparent processes that earn client trust.

Client Workflow Simulator

Walk through three real-world client scenarios. Choose how to present AI-generated work and handle feedback. Your responses are scored on professionalism, transparency, and efficiency.

Presentation Best Practices

Frame as "Directions"

Present AI concepts as creative directions, not finished work. Use language like "Here are three directions we could take" rather than "Here are three options." This sets the expectation that refinement is part of the process.

Say This

"I have explored several creative directions based on your brief. Let me walk you through the strongest three so we can identify which territory resonates."

Manage Revision Expectations

AI speeds up exploration but does not eliminate the need for refinement. Set clear boundaries: how many rounds of revision are included, what constitutes a new direction versus a revision, and when hand-finishing begins.

Avoid This

"AI can generate unlimited versions so just keep sending feedback and I will keep generating until you are happy."

Client-Facing AI Workflow Document

A template for what to include in your client-facing workflow document. Transparency builds trust.

1. Process Overview

Explain that your creative process combines human creative direction with AI-assisted generation. Describe the workflow: brief analysis, concept development, AI generation, curation, refinement, and delivery. Emphasise that every output is reviewed and refined by a human creative.

2. Transparency Statement

Be upfront about using AI tools. Specify which tools you use and how. Clients respect honesty and it protects you legally. A simple statement: "We use industry-standard AI tools to accelerate our creative exploration process. All outputs are curated and refined by our creative team."

3. Revision Policy

Define what counts as a revision versus a new direction. Include how many rounds are included in the project fee. AI makes exploration cheaper but does not make it free — your time curating and refining still has value. Be specific: "Two rounds of revisions are included. Additional rounds or new creative directions are billed at the project hourly rate."

4. IP & Licensing Terms

Address IP ownership clearly. Most AI tools grant commercial rights on paid plans, but the legal landscape is evolving. Include terms for: who owns the final output, whether raw AI generations are included in deliverables, and how the work can be used. Consult a lawyer for your specific jurisdiction and tool agreements.

Key Insight

AI changes what you charge for. You are no longer selling hours at a keyboard — you are selling creative direction, taste, and curation. The client is paying for your ability to know which of fifty generated concepts is the right one, to refine it until it is production-ready, and to manage the process so they never have to think about the tools. If you try to charge by the hour in an AI-assisted workflow, you will undervalue your work because the hours shrink. Charge for the outcome instead. Your pricing should reflect the value of the deliverable to the client, not the time it took you to produce it. The calculator above helps you see this clearly: even with fewer hours, the project value to the client remains the same.
