Editorial Policy
How we research, write, review and maintain content across the Rupert Chesman AI Learning Hub.
Last updated:
Our Mission
Every piece of content on this site exists to help professionals, educators and business leaders apply AI practically and responsibly. We prioritise clarity over hype, evidence over opinion, and actionable guidance over theoretical speculation.
Authorship & Expertise
All content is written and reviewed by Rupert Chesman, an AI educator and filmmaker with years of hands-on experience teaching AI skills to thousands of professionals. Rupert has delivered corporate AI training for organisations across multiple industries and holds deep working knowledge of the tools, platforms and workflows covered on this site.
Every article includes an "About the Expert" section identifying the author, their credentials and relevant experience. We believe readers deserve to know who is behind the advice they are reading.
Research Standards
Before writing any article, tutorial or course lesson, we conduct thorough research using primary sources wherever possible. Our research process includes:
- Consulting official documentation, release notes and announcements from AI platform providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, etc.)
- Hands-on testing of tools, models and workflows before recommending them
- Cross-referencing claims with peer-reviewed research, industry reports and reputable publications
- Citing sources and linking to original material so readers can verify claims independently
- Distinguishing clearly between established facts, emerging consensus and editorial opinion
Content Review Process
Every piece of content goes through a structured review before publication:
- Accuracy check — all factual claims, pricing figures, model names and feature descriptions are verified against current official sources
- Hands-on verification — tutorials and workflows are tested end-to-end to confirm they produce the described results
- Structured data validation — schema markup (Article, FAQ, BreadcrumbList, etc.) is validated to ensure search engines can parse content correctly
- Accessibility review — images include descriptive alt text, pages use semantic HTML, and contrast ratios meet readability standards
- Editorial consistency — tone, terminology and formatting follow our house style (Australian English, practical and jargon-free)
Update Cadence
AI moves fast. Information that was accurate three months ago may already be outdated. We are committed to keeping our content current:
- Blog articles — reviewed and updated within two weeks of any major product announcement or pricing change that affects the content
- Comparison articles — fully refreshed at least quarterly, or sooner when a new model version launches
- Course lessons — reviewed each time a new cohort begins; updated for any tool or interface changes
- Glossary entries — updated as terminology evolves and new terms enter common usage
- Cheat sheets & resources — refreshed with each major platform update
Every article displays a "Last updated" or "Date modified" timestamp so you can see how recently the content was reviewed. We use dateModified in our structured data to communicate freshness to search engines as well.
Use of AI in Content Creation
As an AI education platform, we practise what we teach. AI tools may be used during the content creation process for tasks such as research assistance, drafting, code generation and image creation. However, every piece of published content is reviewed, fact-checked, edited and approved by a human author before it goes live.
AI-generated images used on the site are identified with a "Created with AI" label where appropriate. We never present AI-generated content as human-created without disclosure.
Corrections & Feedback
If you spot an error, outdated information or something that could be improved, we want to hear about it. Please reach out via our contact page with details of the issue. We aim to acknowledge corrections within 48 hours and publish fixes as soon as they are verified.
Significant corrections are noted in the article with an updated dateModified timestamp. We do not silently alter published content without updating the modification date.
Editorial Independence
Our content recommendations are based on hands-on testing and professional experience, not commercial relationships. When we recommend a tool or platform, it is because we believe it genuinely serves our audience. If we ever accept sponsorship or use affiliate links, this will be clearly disclosed in the relevant content.
