1.2 Module 1 · The New Claude

Advisor → Executor: The Product Map

The single biggest shift to understand in 2026: Claude is no longer "a chatbot you ask things." It's a family of models wrapped in products that do the work. Here's the map you'll walk for the rest of the course.

The reframe: from answering to acting

Advisor

"Answer my question"

You ask; Claude drafts, explains, analyses. You take the output and do the work. This is where most people stop — and leave 90% of the value on the table.

Executor

"Do the task"

You hand Claude a goal and it carries out the multi-step work — using your files, apps and browser — while you supervise. This is where the 2026 ROI lives.

Every time you catch yourself copy-pasting between Claude and another app, that's a job an executor product should be doing for you. This course walks the ring clockwise — from "help me write this" to "go do this for me."

Interactive: the Product Map

What holds it together

All of it is wired together by connectors and MCP (your apps), Skills (reusable workflows), and shared memory and usage limits. That connective tissue is what turns a handful of features into a single system — and it's the subject of Module 4.

Key takeaway

Claude isn't one thing you chat with — it's a model family plus a suite of products that do work. Hold this map in your head all course; we reach for the right tool, module by module.
