What learners say

“I came in as an early adopter who has been actively using AI tools ever since they became available, and yet I still learnt a great deal. Rupert's up-to-the-minute knowledge of this space is incredibly impressive… This is not someone who learned a set of content once and delivers it on repeat.

He is a skilled and experienced facilitator who makes the subject matter fun, interesting, and accessible without ever dumbing it down. The workshop was engaging from start to finish and left me with practical insights I could easily put to use.

I'd recommend Rupert without hesitation to any individual or organisation looking to genuinely understand and make the most of AI tools.”

Questions, answered

Is the course taught in English?

Yes. Every lesson, slide and workshop is taught in English. Key terms are shown in Chinese as well, with a bilingual glossary, so you always know the term your colleagues use.

Do I need a VPN?

No. Every exercise uses AI apps that work on a mainland network with a Chinese phone number: Doubao, DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi, Jimeng, Kling, Coze, Feishu, Trae and others.

Can I write my prompts in Chinese?

Yes. You can prompt in whichever language you think in. Module 2 includes a lesson on bilingual prompting: working in Chinese and English side by side, and keeping your tone consistent across both.

Which apps should I install before a workshop?

Doubao, DeepSeek, Kimi and Qwen on your phone, plus Jimeng, Kling and Coze. For the automation and coding modules, bring a laptop with Feishu or DingTalk and Trae installed. The setup sheet has the full checklist and the Tool Map lists every app.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The vibe-coding module shows you how to build small working tools by describing them in plain language. No programming background is needed.

Can the workshop use our company's work suite?

Yes. The automation module can be built around Feishu, DingTalk or WeCom, whichever your team already uses.

Can I bring my company's data?

Bring real work, but not confidential or personal data. Exercises work best with real tasks, so bring examples with names, figures and client details removed. If your company has an approved or self-hosted AI tool, we can use it for the sensitive parts.

What about company data and AI rules?

Module 8 covers responsible use: what not to paste into public tools, how AI-generated content should be labelled, and how to write a simple AI policy for your team.

Can the content be tailored to my industry?

Yes. Workshop case studies and exercises are adapted to your team's sector and roles.

Is there something to take away after the workshop?

Yes. Every participant gets the course handbook, with the core ideas, prompts, key terms and an exercise sheet for each module, plus access to the online lessons.
