Key Insight
A plan is not a living document until you build in quarterly review gates. The difference between organisations that succeed with AI and those that stall is not the quality of the initial plan — it is the discipline of revisiting assumptions every 90 days. Technology shifts, team capabilities evolve, and early pilot data will invalidate some of your original estimates. Build explicit review checkpoints into every phase, assign a named owner for each review, and make "pivot or proceed" a standing agenda item. The plan you finish today is version 1.0 — expect version 1.4 by year-end.
