How Data Flows Through the Alpha Learning System
Student Interaction — A student answers a question through the AI Tutor Interface. The response, along with time-on-task and interaction metadata, is captured instantly.
Knowledge Update — The AI/ML Engine receives the response and updates the student's knowledge tracing model. The mastery prediction model recalculates probability of mastery across all related concepts.
Content Selection — The Learning Path Optimiser queries the Content Layer for the next best question. The Difficulty Calibrator adjusts difficulty based on the updated mastery state. If the student is struggling, the Remediation Content Bank provides targeted support material.
Teacher Dashboard Update — Simultaneously, the Teacher/Admin Layer receives the updated mastery data. The Real-Time Class Dashboard refreshes. If the student's engagement drops or errors spike, the Intervention Alerts system notifies the teacher.
Next Question Delivered — The new question appears on the student's screen within milliseconds. The entire loop — answer, update, select, deliver — happens in real time, creating a continuously adaptive learning experience. All data is encrypted and stored in the Infrastructure Layer.
Key point: This entire cycle completes in under one second. A traditional classroom might take days or weeks to assess, adjust, and deliver new content. Alpha's system does it after every single answer.

Key Insight
Alpha's tech stack is essentially building a digital twin of each student's knowledge — a continuously updated model that knows what they understand, what they're ready to learn, and where they struggle. Every answer a student gives updates this model in real time, creating an ever-sharper picture of their cognitive state. This is the core innovation, not the 2-hour schedule. The compressed school day is a consequence of the technology: when every minute of instruction is precisely targeted at the frontier of a student's understanding, you eliminate the dead time that fills a traditional 6-hour day — waiting for the class to catch up, re-teaching concepts already mastered, or working on problems that are too easy or too hard. The digital twin makes efficiency possible; the schedule simply reflects it.
